From 1870-1885 Ogallala was the destination of countless cowboys driving cattle north from Texas to the railhead. As the boys hit town, it's a sure bet one of the first stops was the barbershop for a bath, shave and a haicut...and they were probably splashed with the barber's own mix of bay rum. Then they were ready to hit the saloon where the young ladies were anxious to sell them drinks. We'll leave it at that... What history failed to record was that upon hearing the phrase "get along little dogie" on the trail, many a cowpoke took that to mean they should get a long little doggie...and they did! Well, their wiener dogs also developed a passion for the scent of bay rum and that's how this product came to be. While we may have embellished with story just a little bit...the fact remains you and your wiener dog (or other fine breed) will enjoy this quality shampoo and the great scent of Genuine Ogallala Bay Rum Wiener Wash!
